National Day of Service

You are invited to participate in the 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance. This day of community and stake service will occur on Saturday September 13th.
Please invite your friends and neighbors to this community event. You are invited to show your patriotic colors and wear red, white, and blue! Please see the attached flyer. We will meet at 8:30 am at Sand Ridge Park for a light breakfast. At 9 am a prayer and flag ceremony will occur. Service projects will start immediately afterwards. Our two community service projects are at Sand Ridge Park and clean up along the south side of Highway 193.At Sand Ridge Park children, families, and individuals are invited to work on projects at the park. Please bring gloves, rakes, and shovels. We will also be cleaning up along the south side of Highway 193 from University Park Boulevard to Fairfield Road. This activity is better suited for youth 12 years old and older and adults. Please be careful along the busy road. Please pick up the empty trash bags at Sand Ridge Park and return the filled bags to Sand Ridge Park when completed for pick up by Layton City. Sections of HWY 193 are assigned below as starting locations for each group of wards. Pleasant Hills, Woodland Park, and Lakeland Wards will start at University Park Boulevard and work east on the south side of HWY 193.Lincoln, Antelope Hills, Fairfield, and Chapel Hills Wards will start at Hill Field Road and work east along the south side of HWY 193.Sun Hills, Mecham Meadows, Layton Hills, and Sand Ridge Wards will start at Fort Lane and work east along the south side of HYW 193.Some wards have chosen additional service projects, please look to them for additional information.
